Does anyone else find it puzzling that the defense proposed a plea of manslaughter for Woodworth? I mean, considering the brutal circumstances of the crime, it seems like quite a stretch. I'm no legal expert, but running over someone after shooting them feels a lot more premeditated than manslaughter typically suggests. I can't even begin to imagine what Cody's family is going through with all these legal maneuvers in such a public case. The back-and-forth about what evidence to include only adds to the complexity. Just thinking about it makes me hope for clarity and justice, not just for Cody, but for the entire Hopkins community. I wonder how they'll react once a verdict is finally reached and what kind of closure it might bring.
