Has anyone else seen the weather reports from the day Reid disappeared? I’ve been following the case and wondered about the conditions on Mt. St. Elias at the time. I know the mountain has notoriously unpredictable weather, and I read somewhere that a storm was moving in around that time. Could that have been a factor in what happened to Reid? Maybe those who have experience with this mountain or similar expeditions could weigh in. It’s just so tough thinking about how many variables climbers face in these remote places. Any thoughts or info would be appreciated.

I've been following Reid's case since it first came to light, and I can't help but keep thinking about the challenges faced by the search teams in that kind of environment. From what I understand, crevasses on Mount St. Elias are particularly dangerous, especially at such high altitudes. The weather up there can be so unpredictable, not to mention the risk of avalanches and changing ice formations. I wonder what kind of technology or techniques they use to safely navigate and search within those treacherous areas. Anyone have insights or experience with rescue operations in such conditions? I've read that these situations can be extremely risky for the rescuers themselves, which adds another layer of complexity. My thoughts go out to Reid’s family and the brave individuals involved in the search efforts.

Has anyone seen the latest update on Reid's case? It just came to mind that Reid was last spotted at such an incredibly high altitude. I'm wondering about the conditions on Mt. St. Elias at the time of his disappearance. Does anyone here have experience with the weather patterns or conditions up there around this time of year? I know it's a challenging peak and I’ve read that weather can change rapidly. I'm hopeful that maybe someone with mountaineering knowledge could provide some insights. It might help piece together what happened or at least give us better context on his last known location.
