I’ve been thinking about the role that community played in helping solve Ralph Elliott's tragic case. It’s truly commendable how witnesses came forward and assisted the police in capturing Lee Cration. In so many instances, people are too scared or unwilling to step up, but in this case, their courage was pivotal in ensuring justice for Ralph. It speaks volumes about how loved and respected Mr. Elliott was in Bronzeville, that his neighbors would rally like that, even when faced with such a harrowing situation. The unity they showed is a reminder of how powerful communities can be in the fight against crime. Thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Elliott family as they carry forward without Ralph.
