I came across this tragic case recently and can't stop thinking about the brave involvement of the law enforcement agencies that handled it. It's gut-wrenching to read about what happened to Rosanna M. Romero and her little one. The involvement of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Police, along with the FBI and Mt. Pleasant Police Department, truly illustrates how crucial inter-agency collaboration can be, especially in cases that involve federal jurisdictions like this one. The jurisdictional complexities must have been incredibly challenging, but it's clear that they were committed to seeking justice for Rosanna and her baby. It's remarkable how these agencies came together to ensure that Ashford was held accountable for his heinous actions. It serves as an important reminder of the critical role law enforcement plays in providing some semblance of peace to affected families, even when the situation is beyond devastating. Keeping Rosanna's family in my thoughts as they navigate this unthinkable loss.
