Did anyone else notice the timing of Cheryl's disappearance coincided with the anniversary of her assault from the previous year? It makes me wonder if there's a connection there. I’ve listened to a couple of podcasts that mention some abusers escalate around significant dates. This could have been a trigger point, potentially directly impacting her decision to go off the radar or worse. It's a stretch, but I can’t help but think it's something to consider. Also, was there ever any investigation into whether Cheryl had any plans to leave and start fresh somewhere? Taking into account the difficulty of her situation, maybe she intended to disappear temporarily and something went awry. I’d be interested to hear if anyone knows more about the circumstances leading up to that time or anything about her state of mind from friends or family.
