Has anyone else been following the Walter Lampton, Jr. case? I can't get over how small a community like Tylertown can be shaken up so deeply by such a violent act. It's unimaginable to think of something so horrific happening in a place where everyone knows each other. I grew up in a similar tight-knit town, and the idea that a home invasion like this could happen is just terrifying.
I'm also concerned for Gertrude and hope she's getting the support she needs after going through such an ordeal. It’s a miracle she's alive, but recovering from something like this, both physically and emotionally, must be incredibly challenging. The news went quiet after the initial reports, and it's unsettling not knowing if justice will be served.
