I came across info about Erik and the missing aircraft near Baranof Island. Does anyone know about the weather conditions in that area during the time they went missing? I read that the weather around Sitka can be really changeable and challenging for flying, especially with dense fog and strong winds. This could be a major factor in why they haven’t found any signs of the plane or passengers. I hope the search teams are taking these conditions into account because it might give them clues about possible crash sites. Also, does anyone have insight into how long search efforts typically continue in such rough terrains? Keeping Erik and the others in my thoughts.

Has anyone heard any updates on search conditions around Baranof Island? I’ve been reading a lot about how tricky the weather can be up there, and it just makes me worry even more about Erik and the others. Those dense forests and rugged terrains must make it incredibly difficult for search teams to cover ground. Hoping they catch a break soon. It's been on my mind a lot, and I just wish there was more we could do from here. Sending strength to everyone involved in the search efforts.

Does anyone have more info on the weather conditions in Sitka around the time Erik went missing? I’ve read that the weather in Alaska can be unpredictable and dangerous, especially around Barnanof Island. Could severe weather have played a role in the disappearance of the aircraft? I’m just trying to piece together any potential factors. If anyone has links to reports or personal insights about flying in that area, it would be really helpful for those of us following the case.
