I’ve been following the Emanuel Jeanbaptiste case, and my thoughts go out especially to his family and friends who must be going through such a difficult time. One aspect that’s really been on my mind is how the community is handling the aftermath of this tragic event. In many cases, we see communities divided, but it seems like here, folks in Moss Point are coming together to push for transparency and justice. It’s heartening to see the collective efforts, despite the sadness surrounding the situation. They've organized meetings and peaceful gatherings, albeit with a simmering frustration over the lack of information being released. While we await the findings of the independent investigation, it’s worth acknowledging the tremendous strength and unity the community is displaying. Keeping everyone affected by this tragedy in my thoughts.
