Has anyone else been looking into the lack of witness cooperation in Charles Smith's case? It's so frustrating to think about how many cases like this go cold because people are too scared to talk. I completely understand the fear, especially in a place like Roseland where the threat of retaliation is very real. But it's heartbreaking to see the Smith family not get the justice they deserve. I’ve been following this situation closely, and I just can't help but feel that more needs to be done to protect those who do come forward. Maybe if witnesses had more security or assurance from the system, it could make a difference. It just feels like a vicious cycle that keeps going, and it’s really maddening. I'd be interested to hear others' thoughts on how we might break this cycle, not just for Charles but for other victims as well.
