I was thinking about how frustrating and saddening it must be for Lavonta's family and friends not to have answers about what really happened to him. It's so important for cases like his to not be forgotten, and for people to keep discussing them in hopes that new information might come to light. Lavonta seemed like such a bright young man with a promising future, and the fact that his life was cut short is just too awful for words. I hope that by sharing and keeping his story alive, someone somewhere might remember or notice something they hadn't before. Has anyone from the community organized awareness events or vigils to keep the spotlight on his case? It seems like the more visibility, the more chance there is that justice might eventually be served.
