Does anyone else find it odd that after such a long and varied career, there's so little public information about John Schmidt's cause of death? It strikes me as strange, especially considering his ties to law enforcement. You'd think there'd be more transparency or at least some mention if there were ongoing investigations, even if just to clear up suspicions. Can anyone local to Bay St. Louis shed more light on this? I'm hoping for some insight, and my thoughts are with his family as they navigate the tremendous loss of someone who clearly gave so much to the community.
