Did anyone else find it odd that Darrel's van was found overturned without any trace of injuries or, more importantly, him? I can't shake the feeling that the accident was staged. Maybe it's just me, but in cases where someone is in deep with loan sharks, wouldn't they be more likely to try something like this to throw people off their trail? And the timing of that letter to his family just seems too convenient, almost like a way to lay a breadcrumb trail that he had "fled." If he had truly left for Bolivia to start fresh, why leave such an obvious clue? It's like he wanted people to believe he might be in danger, but why leave behind a trail at all? Something doesn't add up. Thoughts?
Has anyone looked into the idea that Kempf could have staged the whole disappearing act? I mean, finding his van overturned on a remote beach seems a bit too convenient if you ask me. Considering his background with financial issues and the rumors about owing money to loan sharks, it makes sense he might've wanted to vanish intentionally. Plus, with ties to Bolivia, he had a plausible escape route. Just curious if investigators explored the possibility that he left behind that crashed van on purpose as a diversion while heading for a new life elsewhere. What do you all think?
