Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Calphrion Vardman? I stumbled upon an interview with one of his close friends who described Calphrion as having such a bright future ahead of him. Hearing about someone so young, whose life was cut short over something as trivial as a phone, just really highlights the senselessness of gun violence. It’s troubling to think about how these meet-ups for online sales can turn dangerous; I know it’ll make me think twice before doing any transactions this way. What really struck me was how quick and effective the police were in apprehending the suspects, but it can’t bring Calphrion back. I hope his family and friends find strength in this difficult time. Does anyone know if there’ve been updates on the movement for stricter gun control measures in Jackson since this happened?
