Even after all this time, I still can’t wrap my head around what happened to Le Thi My Van and the others that horrible day. One thing that's been sticking with me is the atmosphere in Clinton since the tragedy. I read about how the community came together with vigils and memorials, and I think it really shows there’s strength in unity even when faced with unimaginable pain. These moments of coming together provide a stark reminder of how violence impacts not just the immediate victims, but ripples through the entire community. It’s heartening to see local churches and groups rallying around the families, but it just makes me wonder—the support is there now, but how long can it last? How do communities keep that going long-term for the victims’ families? It's crucial we maintain awareness of domestic violence and its signs so that, hopefully, no other town has to endure what Clinton did. My thoughts are with the families as they navigate this impossible time.
