I've been following the William Marlar case, and I can't stop thinking about the kind of person he must have been in his community. From what little I've learned, he seemed like a well-liked guy with lots of friends who cared about him. It's gut-wrenching to know that his life was cut short in such a violent way.
What strikes me most is how none of the friends seemed to see this coming. Often in these cases, there are warning signs or at least some indication of trouble brewing, but everyone describes the Marlar household as "normal," or at least what passed for normal in hindsight. It just makes you wonder how someone can secretly endure so many undisclosed issues and heartbreak without friends or family picking up on it.
Sending thoughts to his friends and family as they navigate through dealing with this loss and the shocking betrayal by someone so close. Cases like these are such a painful reminder of the things we don't know about even our closest associates. Does anyone here have more insight into how the community has been reacting or any initiatives they might have started in William's memory?
