I've been following the case of Bobbie Ann Bright and her daughter M’Tisha Jackson, and it truly devastates to think about what their family is going through. It's so hard to comprehend that someone could do this to their own mother and sister. My heart goes out to Bobbie Ann and M’Tisha's loved ones, especially the family members who were there that night. I read that some relatives were present in the house—what a terrible thing to experience. I sincerely hope they are receiving all the support they need right now. On another note, I've noticed the number of homicides in Jackson for 2020 was already quite high before this tragedy. It makes me wonder what more can be done within communities to prevent such violent incidents. It's so tough to see these statistics without considering the personal stories and unimaginable grief behind them. If anyone has insight into community initiatives or programs in Jackson aimed at preventing domestic violence, I'd be really interested to learn more about what's being done and what might be needed.
