Did anyone else find it strange that the Miss Dee Dee was found aground with no signs of struggle or distress? I can't help but wonder if something out of the ordinary happened before Michael went overboard. Boats don't usually end up aground unless there's an issue, right? The fact that the Brant, another fishing vessel, was involved in the initial response suggests there might be more to the timeline of events. It's puzzling. Can anyone familiar with fishing in the area shed some light on what could have caused the Miss Dee Dee to end up in such a position? I hope the authorities find some clues soon that could lead to answers.

Has anyone heard anything about the role that weather played in this unfortunate incident with Michael Diverty? I’ve read that conditions were relatively calm with only scattered showers, yet the water temperature was around 50 degrees. I’m no expert, but isn’t that pretty cold for someone who might have gone overboard? Just wondering if hypothermia could have been a factor here, especially since survival time in such temps can be limited. It’s concerning that the Miss Dee Dee was found aground; maybe the calm conditions initially made it seem like he would be easier to find. Thoughts on whether weather might have complicated the search or if it’s more about the temperature impacting his survival chances?

I can't stop thinking about the weather conditions around the time Michael Diverty went missing. I know the Coast Guard mentioned scattered showers, light winds, and calm seas, but even calm seas can be deceptive. The water temperature at 50 degrees is also a major concern. Hypothermia can set in so quickly in those conditions. I wish there was more clarity on what might have caused him to go overboard. Given the calm environment described, it's unsettling that things went so wrong. Has anyone heard if there were any mechanical issues found on the Miss Dee Dee when the Troopers boarded it? Or if Michael had mentioned anything about maintenance concerns before this tragic event? Every little detail could help piece together what happened.
