I recently started looking into Richard Urista's case and noticed something odd about the timing of his disappearance. His last known contact was a phone call to his roommate, where he mentioned being in the mountains and planning to head to California. What's intriguing is the gap in time between when the van was found abandoned in Texas and him making that call. Could this mean he was traveling with someone else, or did something happen in that window of time? It's puzzling how he managed to call his roommate if he was supposedly in a mountainous area. Also, if he truly intended to go to California, why didn't he connect with anyone once he got there?
