I've been following Shaun Leaks' case closely, and it's truly tragic how his story is just one of many in the cycle of violence that plagued Chicago during that time. It's heartbreaking to think about how much the city was struggling with gun violence, especially in areas like Englewood and West Garfield Park. These communities have been battling against so many systemic problems for years, and it feels like Shaun's death is a symbol of the wider issues these neighborhoods face. What's been haunting me is how many cases from back then still seem to lack closure. Families, like Shaun's, are left with unanswered questions, and it just feels so unfair. It must be incredibly hard to grieve and heal when justice feels out of reach. I really hope that efforts to address the root causes of violence in these areas continue, so we can see some positive changes and maybe offer some peace to those who've lost loved ones. My thoughts are with Shaun's family and all the others who've been affected.
