Hey everyone, I wanted to share my thoughts on a particular detail in Thelvin Carr's murder case that's been on my mind. The narrative around the Highpoint .380 pistol found under his right arm raises a lot of questions for me. Was Carr armed for protection, or could the gun have been planted to mislead investigators? It seems odd that a weapon would be left at the scene if it were crucial evidence. In cases where drugs are suggested as a motive, we've seen instances before where weapons are used to distract from the real story. Could the pistol be playing a similar role? I'm just so sad for Carr's loved ones. It's incredibly frustrating to watch another case like this potentially get stalled due to lack of evidence or leads. The community's growing concern is absolutely understandable with so much unresolved violence around. Staying vigilant and sharing any small detail might help the Jackson Police Department get a break in this case. Let's keep awareness alive and keep discussing; maybe it will lead to the answers his family desperately needs.

I’ve been following Thelvin Carr’s case and I can’t stop thinking about that Highpoint .380 found under his arm. It’s striking that he had a weapon but was still overpowered. It makes me wonder whether he knew the person who did this to him. It breaks my heart that Thelvin, armed or not, didn’t get a chance to defend himself. For the community around Newton and J.R. Lynch streets, this must feel like yet another reminder of the senseless violence that’s become all too common. I truly hope we get some answers soon, and his family gets the justice they deserve. Anyone else have any thoughts or theories about why he might have had that gun with him?
