I've been reading about the Sirloin Stockade murders and can't stop thinking about the impact on the families, especially that of young David Lindsey. It's unimaginable what his family must have gone through losing him in such a horrendous way. I came across a detail that really struck me—David was just a 17-year-old kid, probably working at the restaurant to earn some extra cash for summer activities or saving for his future. It's so tragic to think how his life was cut short that night. The bravery of the families left behind should also be noted. They've had to carry this pain for decades and somehow find a way to cope with the indescribable loss. I hope they found some comfort in knowing the perpetrators were brought to justice, even though no sentence can ever bring back their loved ones. If any of you have insights on how the community has supported these families over the years, I'd love to hear about it.
