I’ve been digging into the Seward case, and something that's been tugging at me is why Coleman wasn’t prosecuted for Roxie Seward's murder. It feels incredibly unjust that the family never got full closure on that aspect after everything they suffered. From what I understand, the evidence was pretty clear—Coleman had possession of their belongings and was apprehended the same day—so I’m puzzled. Could there have been some legal strategy behind prosecuting him only for John's murder? It’s really frustrating to think that the legal system might have had its hands tied for whatever reason. My heart goes out to the Seward family, who had to endure not just the loss of their loved ones but also such a complicated and drawn-out legal process. If anyone has insights on this, especially those familiar with the legal proceedings at the time, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
