I’ve been thinking a lot about the community response after the Edmond shooting. From everything I’ve read, Patti Welch was truly beloved by those who knew her. I can’t imagine how heart-wrenching it was for the friends and family that attended her funeral, especially knowing that the Rev. Bill Watkins presided over her wedding just a few months earlier. It's a testament to how cherished she was, that so many gathered to say goodbye and support each other in their grief. These events remind us of the importance of community support in the aftermath of such tragedies. It’s clear that Patti left a lasting impact on everyone around her, and it’s comforting to see them come together to honor her memory. Does anyone know if there were any memorials or tributes established in Patti’s name beyond the funeral service? I'd love to learn more about how her legacy has been carried forward within the community.
