The more I read about Tara Shay Johnston and her daughter Allison, the harder it is to understand how something so devastating could happen. A particularly perplexing aspect is Tara's seemingly content social media presence. It's utterly baffling how, even up to Valentine's Day, her posts showed admiration and love for her husband, Daniel. How could someone possibly reconcile such affection with the horrific acts that unfolded a mere couple of weeks later? It's a reminder of how social media can sometimes mask deep, underlying issues. My thoughts go out to Tara and Allison's family, who must live with these unanswered questions. The pain of not seeing any warning signs must add an almost unbearable layer to their grief. Keeping them in my thoughts today.
