I've been following the Reed case and something that really struck me was the involvement—or rather, the presence—of the children in the house when this happened. It's chilling to think about what they might have witnessed or experienced, even if they didn't directly see the attack. An in-home daycare is supposed to be a safe, nurturing environment, which makes this crime all the more unsettling. From what I've read, the children were unharmed, thank goodness, but I keep wondering about the long-term psychological impact. My heart goes out to their parents, who have to grapple with explaining something so incomprehensible and ensuring their kids feel secure again. Does anyone know if there have been updates on how those children are doing now? It's a side of the tragedy that hasn't gotten as much attention, but it's undoubtedly significant for the families involved.
