I want to talk about the unthinkable impact this tragedy had on the officers and first responders who were involved. We often discuss the families and the community, but imagine being one of the officers responding to such a horrific scene at the Wilksons' home. The bravery and professionalism it requires to push through the shock and do your job is beyond commendable. These individuals put their own emotional and physical well-being aside to bring justice and support to the community. The mental toll on them must have been immense, especially knowing the danger Vance still posed at the time. It's important we recognize the courage and dedication of these men and women, who not only risk their lives but also their mental health in the line of duty. Let's not forget to support them as well, along with the family and friends of Ronald and Valerie.
