I just can't stop thinking about how the evidence didn't support Hatfield's story about that gun struggle. It's terrifying to realize how quickly things can escalate in a domestic argument, but the fact that authorities found inconsistencies really makes you wonder. I read that there were witnesses who saw them argue, and that Patricia might have been thinking about a break-up. It’s sad to think about the fear or helplessness she might have felt. Living just a regular life, and then this happens. I hope the family has a good support system around them during this time. This case just really highlights the urgency of noticing red flags in relationships and offering support to those around us who might need it. Patricia seemed like such a kind soul, taken far too soon.
