Perhaps someone living in Chicago or familiar with the area during that time can shed some light on whether these initiatives felt like they were making progress. It’s heartbreaking to think about the ongoing struggles and if any voices went unheard that could’ve made a difference sooner. My thoughts are with Jovan’s loved ones and everyone affected by such senseless violence.
