Has anyone else noticed how quickly that yellow kayak was found? It seems a bit odd to me that they located it so soon, yet there’s still no sign of John. The Gulf Coast is a vast area, and while it's a relief the kayak was discovered, it also raises more questions. Could someone have come across it after he went missing and moved it? Or maybe it really just drifted that far in such a short amount of time? I hope they’re able to gather some clues from it, maybe even figure out where it might have originated from the current patterns. Any oceanography buffs here who can weigh in on how far it could have drifted? Feeling for his family as they wait for answers.

Has anyone else been thinking about potential currents in the area where John's kayak was found? I'm no expert, but isn't that stretch of water between Dauphin Island and Petit Bois Island known for its tricky currents and tides? Could that have caused the kayak to drift or tip over? Also, does anyone know if there was any weather advisory or unusual sea condition during that time? It might help to understand what exactly happened to John. Thoughts or insights?

Hey everyone, I've been following John Switzer's case closely and something has been puzzling me. According to the press release, his yellow kayak was found partially submerged between Dauphin Island and Petit Bois Island. This seems like a pretty significant distance from where he was initially kayaking off the coast of Gulf Shores. I'm wondering how strong the currents are in that area and if it’s possible for his kayak to have drifted that far from where he was last known to be. Does anyone familiar with the local waters have any insights on this? Also, considering the search efforts, do you think there might be other areas they should focus on given where the kayak was found? Hoping for any info and, of course, that they find some leads soon.
