I came across some details about the planning phase the Buzzard family undertook before they ambushed Jerry Tapp. This level of premeditation is extremely chilling to think about. I can't even begin to imagine the fear and betrayal Jerry must have felt in those moments. The fact that they parked up the road and lay in wait just shows a complete disregard for human life, especially considering they were targeting him at his own home, where anyone would feel the most secure. It's absolutely terrifying. Reading about the shell casings matching the rifle and the social media posts from Cody Buzzard makes it clear how relentless they were in their mission. As thorough as the investigation was, it's unsettling to see social media being used so blatantly to express violent intentions. My thoughts are with Jerry's family. Losing someone in this manner must be devastating. I hope they find some solace in knowing justice was served and that those responsible are behind bars.
