I can't stop thinking about the community's response to Lionel Lee Rivers' passing. It's truly moving to see how much of an impact he had on the people around him. I've read that even those who only met him once or twice felt his warmth and generosity. For a man to not only be known as a caring minister but also to have such a reputation as the "Candy Man" speaks volumes about his character. His home was a place of joy for many local kids, and I can only imagine how many lives he touched with just a simple gesture of kindness and a piece of candy. It makes me wonder if anyone here has stories to share about their encounters with him or how he influenced their lives. It's comforting to know that though he's gone, his spirit and the good he brought into the world live on through our memories.
