Has anyone else been following the trial of Juan Ochoa? I’ve been trying to understand why the charge was reduced from murder to manslaughter. It’s gotta be tough for Alex Chuculate’s family – they’ve been through so much already. From what I've read, the court seems to have based the decision on the "circumstances" not meeting the murder criteria, but that feels so vague to me. What do you all think could have influenced this decision?
Also, I can't stop thinking about how Alex seemed to juggle two demanding jobs. That kind of work ethic speaks a lot about his character. I just hope his family finds some peace, though knowing the legal system only went so far must be so difficult. If anyone has more details on why the charge got lessened or any insight into how the family is holding up, that would be appreciated.
