I can’t stop thinking about the courage shown by Timothy's family throughout this heartbreaking ordeal. It’s unimaginable to lose a loved one so suddenly and in such a violent manner. The fact that some family members, including children, witnessed the shooting must weigh heavily on them even now. I hope they have found some support and solace in each other during these times. With Elijah Dewayne Hicks now convicted, maybe Timothy’s family can begin to heal, though that process is undoubtedly long and difficult. It's so important for communities to rally around families facing such grief, and I hope Okemah is doing just that. Sending strength and peace to them all.
