I've been following the case of Terek Chairs, and my thoughts have been with his family and friends. What breaks my heart even more is thinking about the passengers who were with him that day. Surviving such a terrifying ordeal must be incredibly difficult, both physically and emotionally. I can't imagine the trauma they are dealing with, especially knowing they lost a friend in such a violent way.
I read that one of the passengers was shot multiple times but survived – it's a miracle they made it through. It makes me wonder what kind of support they're receiving now and whether there’s enough emphasis on mental recovery in these situations. PTSD must be a genuine concern, considering the circumstances. If anyone has any info on local resources for victims of gun violence or knows how the community is rallying to support them, I'd be interested to hear about it.
