Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Joseph Price and wanted to discuss something I've been thinking about. It’s really difficult to process how a young life, like Joseph's, can be taken so quickly and unexpectedly in broad daylight. I mean, he was just on his way to see his brother—something so ordinary that we all do without a second thought. It's devastating to think about the loss his family must be feeling right now. The fact that this happened during an anti-violence march just adds another layer of tragedy, doesn't it? It’s like the city was trying to make a stand, yet this senseless act of violence still occurred. I can't imagine the hurt and frustration Joseph's family is going through, knowing that he became a part of those unfortunate statistics despite the ongoing efforts to bring peace. It’s moments like these that remind us of the importance of community support and looking out for one another. Keeping his family and friends in my thoughts. I’m hoping for more conversations about how to effectively tackle the root causes of violence in his community and others. If anyone else has thoughts or updates about initiatives in the Austin area or similar neighborhoods, it would be great to hear about them. Stay safe, everyone.
