I've been following the case of Alex Stevens and the others, and something keeps sticking out to me about the location where they were found. It's truly haunting to think that the Deep Fork River, which runs through such a peaceful community in Okmulgee, is now associated with something so horrific. It's a place that was probably once used for fishing or family picnics, and now it's a crime scene etched into people's minds. I can't imagine how the families feel knowing that such a serene spot became the backdrop for something so awful. Keeping them all in my thoughts, and I hope they find some semblance of peace in the support from the community. Has anyone heard if they plan to do anything in the area to commemorate the victims or reclaim the space for something positive?
I can't stop thinking about the role the scrapyard played in this horrific crime. It's chilling to consider it was the place where such a terrible act unfolded. Why wasn't there more security? I understand it's not unusual for incidents to occur in secluded areas, but the thought that someone could use their own property for such a crime is beyond disturbing. It makes you realize how unexpected and deceptive appearances can be. My heart goes out to Alex's family and the others affected. We put so much trust in our surroundings and community, and this shows how quickly that can be shattered. Keep the discussion going on community safety; maybe we can spot something before it spirals into tragedy.
