I’ve been thinking about Ruben's son, Charles, and the unimaginable trauma he must have endured that night. Waking up to such a terrifying scene and losing his father in such a violent way... it’s hard to comprehend the emotional burden he carries. Not to mention, realizing that someone in his family might be involved must have been a devastating revelation.
The courage it must have taken for Charles to navigate through those events and the subsequent trial is remarkable. Does anyone know how he’s doing now? Has he spoken out about his experiences or how he managed to find healing and peace after everything? My heart goes out to him and the rest of Ruben’s family. They must’ve had to dig deep for resilience amidst this heartbreak.
