Hey everyone, does anyone else find it odd that Shawver’s missing person report was initially canceled because of a supposed call from a "friend"? It seems a bit sketchy to me. There was no confirmation of who made that call, yet they just took it at face value? I get that they reopened the case later, but it makes me wonder if there’s more that isn’t being shared publicly. Could it have been someone posing as a friend to intentionally derail the investigation? I would love to hear others' thoughts or theories. It just doesn’t add up.
I’ve been following Dewey Shawver's case closely, and something about the call that canceled his missing person report really nags at me. Does anyone else find it odd that the caller was never identified and that they could influence the authorities to cancel the report? I mean, if the caller truly was a friend, wouldn’t they have some sort of verifiable connection to him? It’s unsettling that a single call with no solid proof led to the case being closed temporarily. I wonder if this call diverted valuable investigative time and resources that could have been focused on his actual whereabouts. It just feels like a huge puzzle piece is missing here. What does everyone else think about this aspect of the case?
