Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions the day Troy went missing? It seems like that could have played a big role in what happened. The currents near Blank Island are notoriously tricky, and if there was any bad weather, it could explain the overturned skiff and debris. I came across a report saying it was unusually windy around that time. Given that Troy was familiar with the area, it seems odd. Thoughts on how much the elements could have impacted things?
