I came across some thoughts about the tragic case of Kemone Love, and one thing I keep thinking about is the impact of gun violence on young people. It's just devastating to see how easily life can be taken away, and at such a young age. It really makes you question how we, as a community, can protect our youth better. I've read that there were 13 casings found at the scene—13. It makes my heart ache to think about the sheer terror those kids must have felt in that van. I can’t even start to imagine the fear and chaos of that moment. And for it to happen in broad daylight, at a red light no less, it's just surreal. For any of Kemone’s friends or family members who might read this, please know that there are people who care deeply about his story and hope for peace and healing for everyone affected. If anyone here has thoughts on how communities can come together to address this kind of violence, I’d love to hear what you think. The system clearly has its battles, but maybe there's a way forward if we all contribute ideas and support meaningful change together.
