Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the case of Alac Lamar Jackson and how his story seems to have been overshadowed by the larger statistics in Milwaukee. It's really troubling that despite being recognized as a homicide, there's barely any public information about the investigation into who might be responsible. It makes me wonder about the many other lives lost in the city that year and how many families are still waiting for answers. What touches me the most is how the obituaries talked more about celebrating his life and the services held in his memory. It feels like there’s a huge silence around what happened to him, almost as if he’s just another number in a report. I really hope that the community efforts highlighted by the Milwaukee Homicide Review Commission lead to more than just statistics and actual justice for individuals like Alac. If anyone has more insight or anything they've heard about the efforts to solve this case, it would be really appreciated. The families affected by these tragedies deserve closure and justice, not just a line in a report. Sending thoughts to all those who knew Alac. ?
