I’ve been following Tom’s case closely ever since he went missing while seal hunting in Hazen Bay, and one thing that's been bugging me is the weather conditions that day. Does anyone know what the tide and current were like? Maybe someone experienced in kayaking in that area could weigh in on how tricky it might have been for Tom. His red and yellow kayak should've been easy to spot, but if currents were strong, who knows where it could have drifted.
Has anyone heard anything new regarding Tom's disappearance? I've been looking into other cases of missing persons who went seal hunting, and it seems like people often underestimate the danger involved, especially with changes in weather. I read somewhere that the currents around Hazen Bay can be pretty unpredictable. Does anyone have local knowledge about how rough the waters can get there? Also, I came across a mention of someone seeing a kayak matching Tom's description a few miles west of where he was last seen. Hoping that's at least a lead. Please share any insights if you have them!
I've been following Tom's case since the beginning, and something that's been sticking out to me is the kayak. I remember reading that he was last seen out seal hunting in a red and yellow kayak around Hazen Bay. Does anyone here know what the weather was like that day? I used to live not too far from the area, and I recall how quickly conditions can change up there. It makes me wonder how experienced Tom was with kayaking and if that could’ve played a role. I hope there's been more focus on checking the coastal areas for any signs of him or the kayak. Any locals with more insight into the area?
