Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the circumstances that led to Deputy Dan Glaze's death and how it could happen during what seemed like a routine check. It's just a stark reminder of how unpredictable and perilous the job can be for those in law enforcement, even in what might appear to be small towns or rural areas. The fact that Deputy Glaze called in the vehicle report only to have his communication cut short so drastically is eerie and chilling.
I can't help but think about his wife and kids. The world they knew flipped completely in that moment, and it's just devastating to imagine what they went through during those uncertain hours before they received the terrible news. Losing a family member is never easy, but when it happens so suddenly and violently, it's on an entirely different level. My thoughts are with them and the community that had to grapple with such an unexpected and violent loss.
Does anyone know if the department put any changes in place after this tragedy to help protect their officers? I'm curious to see if this awful event brought any procedural shifts or added safety measures to prevent this from happening to another officer.
Hi all,
I’ve been trying to wrap my head around the timeline of events leading up to Deputy Glaze’s tragic death and something just doesn't sit right with me about that suspicious vehicle. Was there ever any more information released about it? I mean, why was it parked in a field so late at night? It seems so bizarre and I can't help but wonder if there was some kind of setup. My heart goes out to Deputy Glaze's family and friends. They must have so many unanswered questions and it pains me to think of what they're going through. I hope they find peace amidst this terrible situation. Deputy Glaze deserved so much better. Just trying to piece together anything that might make sense of this horrible event.
Stay safe, everyone.
