Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic murder of Michael Banks, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. It got me thinking about the challenges faced by security guards in Chicago, especially during that intense period in 2011. These folks put themselves in dangerous situations every day, often without much acknowledgment of the risks they face until something like this happens. I'm curious if anyone has any insights on how the security community coped with this loss and dealt with the ongoing threats of violence. Were there any community efforts or changes implemented since then to better protect those working in such high-risk roles? Any stories or experiences from folks familiar with the industry would be valuable. It's important we continue to talk about these issues and find ways to support those trying to keep our communities safe. Stay safe out there. [Username]
