I’ve been following Savanna Larson’s case quite closely, and something that’s been on my mind is the role Lawrence Schuman and Valerie Niemuth played after the tragedy. It’s deeply troubling to think about the choice they made to interfere with such a sensitive investigation. I can only imagine the additional anguish this caused Savanna's family and friends, who were already dealing with an unthinkable loss. While the authorities have been clear that there was no foul play involved in Savanna's death, the decision by Schuman and Niemuth to tamper with evidence in this way shows a shocking lack of respect for the gravity of the situation. It’s hard enough for those left behind without added obstacles in the search for truth. I really hope that as time goes on, her loved ones can find some peace and healing.
