Has anyone else been following the Brooke N. Fontaine case from Suamico, Wisconsin? I find it incredibly difficult to comprehend the sheer tragedy of what happened on the night of February 18, 2019. Her actions during those moments speak volumes about her character. From what I've read, Brooke didn’t hesitate for a second to protect her family. She ran into the room without thinking twice, even though the situation was terrifying. It's clear that Brooke's instincts were to shield her loved ones before anything else. It's remarkable and poignant just how strong and selfless she was. Purely from a human perspective, that level of courage under such distressing circumstances is both inspiring and incredibly sad. My heart aches for her kids – to grow up without her must be unbearably tough. I hope they are surrounded by love and support. Just goes to show the real-life impact these domestic disputes can escalate to, and it's utterly devastating for everyone involved. Thoughts with her family.

Did anyone else read the statement from Brooke's family about how deeply the entire community in Suamico has been grieving? You can really feel the love and support they have for each other, but it's so devastating that it had to stem from such a tragic loss. I keep thinking about Brooke's mother, how she bravely protected the 4-year-old during such a terrifying situation. The strength she must have had in that moment is unbelievable. It’s a reminder of how important it is to check in on those dealing with custody disputes or any intense family conflicts. If anyone is local, maybe there's some way the community can keep helping Brooke’s children grow up knowing their mother’s love and bravery.
