I’ve been thinking a lot about how Ritchie German Jr. acquired and stored his weapons. From what we know, he used a revolver and a shotgun during this spree. Does anyone have insight into whether he had these registered legally, or if there were any red flags missed in the process? It’s terrifying to think that these firearms were so readily available to him.
Also, if he was staying with his mother intermittently, were there opportunities that could have been used to notice any unusual behaviors or warning signs pointing to something like this happening? It just seems like such a missed chance for intervention. My heart goes out to the German family and the entire community—they’re left to search for answers where there may be none.
