Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the immense bravery and resilience it must have taken for the community around Tera R. Thomas Agee and her family to come together after such a devastating tragedy. It’s not often you see entire neighborhoods unite in their grief and support for one another, but it seems like Milwaukee really wrapped its arms around the survivors and extended family that were left grappling with this nightmare. After learning that Christopher Stokes had a history of domestic violence, it’s haunting to consider whether more could have been done to prevent this. I hope the case inspires more proactive measures in monitoring and supporting offenders under supervision. It’s crucial that we discuss these systemic failures so that something positive can emerge from this darkness. My heart truly goes out to everyone affected during those dark days in April 2020. If anyone here is from Milwaukee and attended any of the vigils or community meetings afterward, I’d love to hear how people are doing now. How has the community continued to heal and remember these victims? Stay safe and hold your loved ones close. ?
