Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Laura and Dennis McMillan, and something that's been on my mind is the neighbors' perspective. Living in a quiet area like Ahnapee, it's hard to imagine something so devastating happening right next door. I read somewhere that neighbors hadn't noticed anything unusual, which got me thinking about how well we really know what's going on in the lives of those living around us. It must be incredibly difficult for them, trying to piece together any signs they might have missed. My heart goes out to Laura's family and friends, as well as everyone in the local community who must be grappling with this shock. I hope that if any good can come from this tragedy, it reminds us to check in more often with those we care about, and to look out for warning signs of domestic violence. We owe it to Laura to learn from this and to support one another as much as possible. Would love to hear any thoughts or information others might have about the situation there in Ahnapee.
