It's so difficult to wrap my head around what happened at the Roundy's Distribution Center. I keep thinking about the sheer terror Kevin Schneider and Kevin Kloth must have felt in those final moments. Kevin Schneider devoted more than 20 years of his life to his job—imagine the dedication and commitment that reflects. His love for Penn State football and the outdoors shows how much life he had outside of work, too. What's truly important, I think, is how the community has pulled together to honor these men. The vigils and memorials are not just acts of remembrance but a testament to the impact they had on those around them. It speaks volumes about the kind of people they were that so many needed to come together and mourn. How do we make workplaces safer so tragedies like this are less likely to happen? It's a conversation we need to have, and more so now than ever.
